I just have to say this about Tron: Legacy

Greetings Programs!

I know it came out months ago and everyone has said what they need to say...but I haven't.  Don't worry, I'm not gonna bore you wth a lengthy review recapping the film.  I actually liked Tron...more than I should have considering I grew up with the original and love it like I love Star Wars.  Despite all the plot holes and conitinuity errors (I mean c'mon...why would Flynn create the exact same program he made to find his game files insdie the MCP?) I really think it's a great litle nod to the past and not the total destruction of my childhood like I thought.

I've had a hankering to watch it recently, but I haven;t found a copy I want to buy (I'm a sucker for limited editions, but the only one I've found is a souped up Blu-ray version...so no thanks)  But I found a decent bootleg online and as I'm rewatching it I remeber one of the dumb llittle things that drove me nuts...besides the the plotholes, besides the creepy fucking computer animated Jeff Bridges, the thing that bugged was the fact that the recognizers had visible vapor trails.  I mean, why?  Why would a computer  porgram have that designed into it?  Since they were so prominent in the original as having no visible method of propulsion why would the grid suddenly change now?

And there you have it, the dumb little thing thatI had to finally tell someone who wasn't my brother about.

Interesting review, I've yet to see the movie one of these days. Thanks.

Based on hype, the movie was certainly underwhelming. But given that the director had never directed a movie in his life, I gotta give the guy massive credit for giving me the most entertaining seisure of my life. Unfortunately my best friend that accompanied me that night was a chauvanistic little twat who wanted to watch a King's Speech instead so immediately she bitched. Otherwise, I would have had a great experience.
